2lbs ground beef
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ stick of butter
1 chopped onion
8 ounces of chopped mushrooms
Swiss cheese slices
Brioche buns

  1. In a small bowl combine the paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. This will be our seasoning rub for the burgers.
  2. Make (4) half-pound burger patties.
  3. Season the patties with the dry rub.
  4. Prepare your grill for a 2-zone fire and place the patties directly over medium-high heat on the Oklahoma Joe’s Blackjack Kettle.
  5. Grill the burger patties for a few minutes per side, then place them on the opposite side of the grill for indirect cooking. This is a good time to add your swiss cheese to the burger patties for the perfect melt.
  6. Add the butter to a pan and cook the onions and mushrooms until they are tender and slightly brown.
  7. On a toasted bun add the burger patty. Top it with the mushroom and onion mixture.
  8. Serve and enjoy!
